One of the most popular martial arts in the world is Taekwondo, transformed to olympic combat sport in 1988. It is a discipline that stands out for the variety and showmanship of the kicking and concentration techniques.
In San Juan del Sur, this martial art enchants both young and adults. Juan Pablo Lopez, an outstanding athlete, native of Bluefields, two and a half years ago, proposed the idea of creating a school of Taekwondo, in order to share his talent with the youth and at the same time, keep them away from vices, the monthly payment is barely voluntary and all the resources are destined for the maintenance of the premises and instructors.
It has not been easy to establish the school. Originally, was located in the Centro de Cultura de San Juan del Sur, but in there, they had to share space with other artistic disciplines. Since two years, the School of Taekwondo Juan Pablo Lopez, was changed of location and now is located in a place that gives them comfort and safety, with the support of Discover Real Estate and the committed participation of Natalie Sullivan, the company´s sales advisor.
In this school, the enthusiasm and positive energy can be breathe without limits. That joy is what allows them to achieve victories in every competition they participate. Miguel Antonio, a reknowned Korean teacher, with 35 years of experience, who has participated in more than 600 fights, unbeaten, is also an instructor in this sports house. "We teach children the traditional Taekwondo, this allows not change much on the way to impart the classes, the style is as pure as possible." The teacher noted that the idea is not to make money, is authentically teach and therefore, the bullish mood is contagious.
Committed Heart
Discover Real Estate and its contributors are working hard to excel the talent of the school athletes; They join their effort, accompany them to every competition, promote assistance to improve facilities. Potential talents

In the specific case of Juan Pablo, he belongs to the National Team of Taekwondo and this year, with two more talents, has had the challenge of representing Nicaragua and his school in the pre-Olympic qualifier in Aguascalientes, Mexico. The participation of these athletes was defined among the best, after the first ranking of the National Taekwondo Team. This event delivery tickets for the Games in Rio de Janeiro 2016.
