The Chanchita River is a tributary of the La Chancha River and this, in turn, a tributary of the Nawawas River, ending the Southwest limits of the farm at the mouth of the La Chancha River in the Nawawas River, where it has connectivity with the private wild reserve Saint Elizabeth; the Nawawas River crosses the farm from north to south. The Nawawas Reserve, is characterized mainly by presenting several types of ecosystems such as: Humid evergreen tropical forest, Tacotal (succession), Riparian forest, wooded grasslands in use and pastures in disuse in a state of regeneration. The bambusales of Caña Brava and Bambú are attractive within the estate. The average annual rainfall is between 2,000-3,000 mm distributed between 7-9 months with a Canicular interruption of just 10 days, which provides a very humid province. At an altitude between 100-200 meters above sea level, the temperature is hot (27Cº annual average). The formed soils are generally more than 1 m deep and are clayey with a good structure that provides good drainage and high fertility; belong to the order Alfisol (Ultic Tropudalfs). The lands are moderately undulating (4-15% slope) to moderately steep (15-30% slope). The above defines that the erosion is moderate (normal) to strong depending on the slope. According to the capacity of use of the soils, the parts with little slope are suitable for the development of silvopastoral systems, the rest are suitable soils for forest use and in the steepest sites should be conserved with conservation forests.
